The hotel is fairly clean with good service. The venue has a favourable and absolutely perfect location, around 4-6 minutes walk from Kawasaki Good Times World. The downtown is within 15 minutes' walk. There is an average in-house restaurant, serving delicious dishes.

Our double room came with with a nice view, a queen/king bed, as example. An electric kettle and fridges were a huge plus:)))

Great-sized unit with great water views. Good and stunning location, a 10-15 minute walking distance from Nankin-machi. And just off aquarium and the other taxi which have to run to get close the first.

The concierge made fantastic reservations. The first night I went for Kobe beef and the second night was sushi. They were both epic meals in local non-touristy and welcoming places.

Having spent 14 days traveling around Japan and staying in hotels of varying standards, we found the Okura the best for sheer luxury and spaciousness. The view from our room on the 30th floor was spectacular at night. Maybe we were lucky, we booked a standard double and got upgraded to a deluxe double for free, nice touch. Stayed also in the Kobe Crowne Plaza and the Meriken Park Oriental, rate the Okura the best of the three.

The view from the room on the 22nd floor of the harbour is really nice. They have got a shuttle bus service to Sannomiya station which is very regular although with the traffic during rush hour, you might as well enjoy the walk
Before we arrived at the Hotel Okura Kobe, we had been travelling around the Kansai area for a week. We had been to Japan before and think it's an amazing country with high service levels. Our experience therefor at the Hotel Okura was very much out of the norm to what we had gotten used to. We arrive at 1.30pm to be told that check-in isn't till 3pm. This is of course a general rule, but never have we not been able to get a room only 1,5 hrs earlier than the check in time. We went into Kobe and got back at 4pm. We were then told that they no longer had non-smoking rooms available (?!) even though we had booked 5 weeks in advance and had not been notified about this. They said that had aired the room, but of course the smell was still very obvious for non smoking people such as ourselves. The walk to the room from the elevators smelled like being in a discotheque in the 90s. If they had told us before we arrived, we could have gone to another hotel. Also the kettle in the room seemed to occassionally function. There is no wifi available. You can use computers opposite reception for 100Yen for 10 minutes. All in all the experience reminded us of backpacking in the 90s, not staying at an international renowed hotel chain such as Okura.

Verry silent and nice location, amazing view.
Everything is written in Japanese, stuffs as well can´t speak english well. You can get the impression their are not interested to have international customers. No international television. If you´re japanese for sure you will love this Hotel, if you´re not Japanese think over to stay there. And this as well, be ready to pay for a simple beer over 10,- Euro in the bar. For my experiance it is just a 3 Star Hotel, not more and for this it is to expensive.

Had a fantastic stay! The incredible breakfast buffet featured amazing Awaji onion soup and chef-made omelets! Our spacious room had a breathtaking view of the port, and the kids loved the play area by the pool.

Staff were ok.
The Okura Hotel Kobe needs upgrading. Compared to other hotels in the same price range in Kobe (I.E. Ana) it is poor. Even small things can make a difference, like drinks. Only green tea free in the room and coffee costs 420 yen when the room was already 16,000 yen! Room looks old fashioned and dreary, tv international selection; only bbc!! Pathetic. Not cosmopolitan or international at all, just the same old stuffy Japanese atmosphere.
